Chandigarh became the capital of Punjab in nineteen fifties. The Capital Project built this school as an English medium school and the Christian Brothers were requested to take over the school. The Brothers acquired the property and building and started the school. Thus St. John's School, Chandigarh, came into existence as an Educational Institution in the year 1959.
The present day school has developed on the same location into a vibrant and growing Academic Institution.
St. John's School Chandigarh is situated in the serene surroundings of Sector 26.
During the last 49 years, the school has excelled in both academics and extra-curricular activities producing some the leading luminaries of modern day.
The school now has over 1800 students in its Primary, Junior and Senior sections.
