Indian Robot Olympiad 2006 (IRO 2006) organised by Techtronics (India) Limited was held in close cooperation with Amity International Schools on 13th October 2006 at the sprawling campus of Amity International School, Noida. This is as unique an event as the technologically enterprising educational practice of Robotics itself.


The Indian winner shall represent our country in the World Robot Olympiad, 2006 (WRO 2006) to be held in November this year at Nanning City, China. Nineteen countries from around the world shall be participating in the WRO 2006.

The final results of the champion ship saw St. John’s School, Chandigarh team “Mega Shooters” as the winners for the “Soccer Goal” under the primary school category (up to 13 years age group) where as Amity International School, Noida’s team “Ultimate Bots” beat every one to claim the top slot in the Junior High School team (13-16 year age group). Winners in the “humanoid category” were the students from Vasant Valley School, Delhi.
